When should a person be placed on death row? The death penalty has been around since about 321 B.C. IN Ancient Greece for a large range of offenses. Most of the offenses involved in puting the subject to death would be violent cases in which he or she commited a murder in a malicious way or premeditated. The crimes that I believe should be an automatic death penalty would be thoses committed on children, women, and the elderly. These group of people are often defenseless and cannot overpower the brute strength of a man. But of course not all murderers are an automatic for the death penalty, there are degrees in which manner they choose to execute this crime. For instance, First degree murder has certain elements it needs to be a first degree murder. It has to be premediated, and if they so happen to have killed a person of high authority, then they may face a death penalty. Second degree murder is a lesser charge that is given to people had the intent to murder but did not plan to, or at the heat of the moment type of thing. Third degree murderers will probably never recieve the death penalty because of the degree of the circumstance.
Sexual assualts are not serious enough to be considered a capital crime. Although they may spend 25 years to life behind bars, the offense is not that serious for the subject to be placed under, this would break the right against cruel and unusual punishment. This is a crime that will stay with the victim forever but as long as they remain alive from the crime, so will the subject, as its only fair. This crime today carries stiff penalties but should not surpass to the consideration of the possible death penalty to the convict, even though he or she is a degenerate career criminal, but they will spend life behind bars so no one will ever be hurt by them. At the same time he or she will have their entire life to think about it in jail.

Death penalty
For my SLO exam I want to talk about the death penalty and if it abolished or not for certain crimes. Should the death penalty be an option for certain crimes, or should it be abolished in favor of life in prison without possible parole. I wanted to write about this because i feel that it should depend on the extremity if the crime. For example I think that all people that hurt and kill or molest children should all die.
My 3 goals for our english class
I think my three goals will be first learning how to properly write a good essay, second expand my vocabulary by doing the 5 vocab words every week, and my third goal is going to be how to brainstorm better. I want to learn how to write a better essay because I do not know how to and when I write one I feel that it can be better but I do not know how to do it, also when I was reading the book I came across a part that talking about writing an essay and everything they said not to do I was doing. I want to expand my vocabulary because when I am in my other class we come across alot of words that I do not know and it is really embarrassing for my because I feel like I am behind everyone else. My last goal is learning how to brainstorm properly because the other day when we had out freewriting I found myself think about alot of different things that I wanted to write about.

Obamas speech
How I feelt about Obamas speech? First of all i really wish that i registered because I really wanted to vote but the website I did it on was having difficulties because we do not have the flash thing. But i really wanted to vote this time because he just made history as the first ever black president. In his speech he talked about all different people such as asian, black, white, hispanics, and native americans and also gays and lesbians. but he didnt talked about middle eastern people and I thought that was alittle odd because i know that alot of them probably voted for him. He also talked about Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin, he said that they were very good people and they were very hard working. I thought by him saying this it was very noble because even though these people said alot of hurtful things about him, he can come back and talked good about them and say that he cant wait to work with them to make America a better place. As I was reading this speech I realized that he will be a very good president and just like he said it is time for a change and he will make that change for the better.

Pg. 16
A new girl in class got me interested in prop 8 today because she said that someone she knew got beat up because of her feelings on the issue. Well my issue on it is that if gays are allowed to marry they are going to teach gay marrige in schools and I dont not want my sons school to teach this because I think that if anyone is going to teach him that it should be me. I do not have a problem with this because it really has nothing to do with me and she is right they should be equal but just like I said I do not want it taught to my son. I really do not know who to believe because the commercial on No on Prop 8 they say that they will not teach it in schools but I do not know if they are telling the truth because what if they are just saying this so people will vote no because if they will teach it in school then alot of parents will vote yes on the matter. But what if on the Yes on Prop 8 they are just saying that they will teach it in school so that parents will vote no because i know alot of parents are having a problem with that. Just like me so that is why I am confused on the issue because I do not know who is telling the truth and who is lying.

Im a compromising person
In my everyday life I do have some problems but when one comes across me I tend to be very compromising and many times that is something that hurts me because you cant be like that all the time. So I know that I need to be more mean and competetive when it comes to problems.
